How it all started

From a basement to Croatia

Holtec.dk was founded in 1988, in humble beginnings in a 11 square meter basement in rural Næsbjerg in Denmark. The company took off quickly, and by the end of the 1990s, the founder was looking for another partner to help continue the growth and expansion of the business. This led to Søren Jensen joining in 2004 with a 49% ownership stake, and the company growing from 6 to 29 employees. The growth has been recognized with the ‘Gazelle Award’ issued by the newspaper ‘Børsen’ five times since 2007.
Today, Holtec.dk is both an automation and engineering company that serves the industrial, energy, and environmental sectors, as well as private and public sectors.

Since its modest start, Holtec has grown significantly and we have ambitions to grow further still. The Holtec West division has been the starting point for an expansion of our business and competencies that are now available in Esbjerg, Ikast, Hobro, Sønderborg, Aarhus, Aalborg, Kolding and Odense (all Denmark) and in Prelog (Croatia).

Today, the company employs a total of more than 110 well-trained employees, with the majority working with software, construction, project management and assembly internally, or externally with customers.
